Katherine Menoher Matthews

transferred from U of Fla. to East Carolina University, Greenville, NC. Graduated in 1974 w/ a BS in OT. Married in 1971 in Vero Beach, Fla. Lived in Greenville, Goldsboro and Kinston NC. Lived in Kinston for 29 years until 2/07 when we moved to Benson NC to Larry's home place. Moved in with his mother who is an absolute dear! Have worked mostly as an Occupational Therapist during the past 34 years (since graduation from ECU).
Also worked as a bookkeeper and a Certificate of Need Specialist (completing state applications for new or additional nursing home beds). Had periods where I didn't work at all.
Currently work for a local school system providing OT services to the kids in school. Also work for a private Early Intervention company supervising a COTA/L (certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, licensed by the State of NC) and completing evaluations on children 0 to 3 years of age.

Didn't like school much. Always felt like an outsider.

Had a great time w/ George Mitler and Paula Moomey, driving around Ft. Pierce desperately trying to find something to do.
Spent a fair amount of time in Vero Beach going to teen clubs to dance and other stuff?!

Worked at Bill's Drive-In one summer and that was a blast. thank God we didn't have to use roller skates, I had enough trouble w/ the full trays as it was!
